Why I've chosen the brands used at Nails by Laura D Lee - Part 3 ~ Nail Art

Welcome to the 3rd and final part of the NbLDL blog series focussing on the brands I use in my treatments, and why each specific brand was chosen. For Part 1 (CND) click here and Part 2 (IBX / Footlogix®) click here.

It's no secret that my favourite part of any NbLDL service is the nail art. I am not ashamed to admit that I have spent an inordinate amount of time playing around with different brands to find ones that I am over the moon with, which is how I know that those listed below are the best fit for Nails by Laura D Lee. The companies I have chosen all supply top-quality products which routinely outperform those of their competitors, and can be relied upon to give consistent results time after time. Just as importantly, they all have a diverse range of products for me to constantly feed my nail art addiction!

I would say my most frequently-used brand is undoubtedly Lecenté, who produce foils, chrome powders, neon powders, pigmented powers and glitters upon glitters upon glitters, all of which fuel my nail art obsession. Their huge range of products work brilliantly alongside CND™ Shellac™ and the results are always stunning, but for me it is more than them just looking good - all Lecenté products are cosmetically approved and have readily available SDS [Safety Data Sheets - a legally required document which details the physical and chemical properties of the product]. The glitters are 100% glitter only and have been made specifically for the nail professional. Not only are their products reassuringly safe, they are also cruelty-free, vegan and not tested on animals. Furthermore their jars are recyclable, they are actively taking steps towards more environmentally-friendly delivery packaging, and they've also created a Stardust range of glitter which is fully recyclable and made from completely natural ingredients.

The NbLDL Shelves of Selection are largely filled with Lecenté products but occasionally there is a gap which can only be filled by Magpie. Another family-run business, Magpie Beauty completely understands my love for sparkles. They have also contributed to the NbLDL nail art collection in the form of a wider range of neons, a number of coloured chromes (before Lecenté had released theirs) and a series of star-shaped glitters that I just could not resist.

When it comes to stamping, my love and loyalty are split between :Yours Cosmetics and Moyou London, both of whom produce hugely varied stamping plates and highly pigmented stamping polishes. Having previously tried to stamp with poorly-etched plates and polishes that just don't show up, these brands are a god-send.

I discovered the :Yours Halo Silicone stamper fairly early on in my stamping journey, and have never looked back. It's completely see-through, meaning I can place my designs with precision and ease, something which was a real struggle to do when I was using my previous opaque stamping head. It's also easy to clean - simply wait a few seconds for the polish to dry, then roll it across a lint roller!

As much as I do love the :Yours stamping range, I am always blown away by the sheer volume of plates that Moyou London design and produce ~ they currently have over 700 stamping plates, with 10,000 patterns, which according to their website is the biggest catalogue of designs in the world!

Using these 4 brands means that I am always able to offer the latest nail art trends, and that you will never be short of nail art options to choose from!
